Blooming Photography is run by Gloucestershire photographer Ben Roberts and he prides himself on a friendly, informal yet always professional wedding photography service. Having been photographing weddings for nearly ten years (and he got married 8 years ago too!), Ben know’s that organising such an important event can be the most stressful experience a couple can have. Ben will do all he can to make sure that we do not add to that stress in anyway. In fact, his experience means that he should reduce stress levels, certainly for the photography element. I am afraid he doesn’t offer advice on selecting the right dress or tips on how to deal with any difficult relatives!

For those of you who have decided on an album a digital version will have been prepared so you can spend some time deciding on the final image selection and layout If you have chosen the disc option then this will be ready for you to take away there and then. All couples will receive a password to your images on the website (so you can pass on to family and friends).

The build up
There are a million things to think about when you are getting married. Ben will try not to take up too much of your time but we hope you find this part helpful so you can build the photography into your planning process. It's ideal that Ben meet's the couple at least once before the big day. This may sound obvious but with the wonders of the internet and email often couples plan weddings from a distance. Ideally you shall meet with Ben before you book so you both can discuss all the things you want from a photographer. Ben will run through all the things that he at Blooming Photography can offer and you then you decide what sort of package you’re looking for. This means deciding how long you want the photographer around and how you think you’ll want your images presented in the end. Prior to the day we will ask you for a list of group shots. Ben will also visit the venue with you, this is vital as we want to make sure that we have a clear idea of some good locations for the group pictures as well as some beautiful couple shots.The Pre-Wedding Shoot
What better way than to have an pre-wedding photo shoot - these photo shoots are invaluable to put people at ease and also to get to know Ben further, making it less unobtrusive for couples on the day. Please check out my blog or check this link to see the results!
The Big Day
Ben's style is to capture your special wedding day as it happens, not to take over and get on everyone’s nerves. We've all heard of so many stories of couples who have missed their champagne reception & not had a chance to chat with their guests because their wedding photographer has taken them off for hours for lots of poses. Instead Ben love's to mix in a few formal-ish group shots, with the majority of the time photographing the fun at your party!
The viewing
You are now a married couple! Most of you get to go away on honeymoon for a few days or a couple of weeks after the big day. Once you are back it is time for the viewing.
