What is the Pre-Wedding Shoot?
It’s a very informal and fun shoot in the Cheltenham area which, by the end of it, you will have relaxed in front of the camera, and we will have learned how best to photograph you on your wedding day. It’s imperative for anyone who is nervous about being photographed, as once you’ve seen the results from that shoot you’ll have no fears or worries left about the photography part of your wedding day.To see an example of a Pre- Wedding shoot please click "here"
How many photographs will Ben take on the day?
We have no fixed number. We will often take 600+ photographs at a wedding. The quantity taken is dependent upon many factors, e.g. the number of locations throughout the day, and the amount of available time between the ceremony and the wedding breakfastHow many photographs will we see?
Most weddings produce between 300 & 400+ fantastic imagesDo you take formal groups as well as candid photos?
Yes, and as quickly as possible! Ben likes to limit group photographs to a maximum of 20 minutes and will work to a pre-arranged list. We will ask your Ushers to help gather the necessary guests and the more organised you are about this, the quicker it will be.What cameras do Ben use?
Ben uses professional digital cameras. His range includes two Nikon D3's. These cameras along with a selection of top quality lenses allow him to work unobtrusively in all lighting conditions, even candle light. However, he try’s not to get too hung up about his kit - it’s the skill of the person taking the photograph that determines the end result! How much digital manipulation goes into our pictures?
Every image is assessed for colour and tone. Most images are then ‘tidied’ to some extent before black & white options are created. How do we view our photographs?
You are now a married couple! Most of you get to go away on honeymoon for a few days or a couple of weeks after the big day. Once you are back it is time for the viewing. We will organise a time that suits and we will invite you to the studio in Prestbury near Cheltenham to see your edited images on our large screen. You relive your special day again & quite often the tissue boxes come out. On average you a can expect to see 250 to 350 photographs. For those of you who have decided on an album a digital version will have been prepared so you can spend some time deciding on the final image selection and layout If you have chosen the disc option then this will be ready for you to take away there and then. All couples will receive a password to your images on the website. So if you have gone for a prints package you can go away and view the images again as many times as you like to decide on your final selection. Also family members get to see the pictures so they can place their orders as well. How do we book you?
We arrange a date for you to come to meet us first - it’s essential that we all like each other and know that we’ll get on well on your wedding day! Please give us a ring (07858 775922) or email Ben and we’ll organise this. Once a meeting has been booked we will hold your wedding date for you.We want you to be our photographer?
