Relaxed, documentary winter wedding photography at Compton Verney Art Gallery, a stunning Warwickshire wedding venue.

Camilla & Tom were sadly another couple who had to postpone their wedding in 2020 due to the pandemic. Undeterred(!), they moved their date 364 days forward, so that they could have their dream wedding day with their closest family and friends surrounding them.

Camilla & Tom had chosen the Warwickshire wedding venue, Compton Verney Art Gallery to host their special day. With it’s stunning grounds designed by none other than Lancelot “Capability” Brown, gorgeous Chapel, and Grade 1 listed building, I really couldn’t be more excited to finally photograph Camilla and Tom’s special day.

From a photography point of view, winter weddings like this are a joy to document. The softer light, uncluttered landscapes and natural pauses in the day all lend themselves to candid, documentary wedding photography.

Rather than directing moments, my focus was on observing — capturing subtle interactions, shared glances, and the quiet relief that comes when a long‑awaited day finally arrives.
