An Indian Wedding at Manor By The Lake
Over the years, I’ve photographed many weddings at Manor By The Lake. It’s such a special Gloucestershire wedding venue that, even now, it almost feels like photographing it for the first time. There are so many strong backdrops, rooms and pockets of light that I’m still very much on a constant photo exploration every time I walk through the doors.
Documentary Indian Wedding Photography in Gloucestershire
Indian weddings are rich with story, emotion and detail, and my approach at Manor By The Lake is always to stay observant rather than directive. I hope you see that I work in a candid, documentary style, blending into the background and capturing the day as it unfolds.
That means minimal posing, short and relaxed portraits, and a focus on real interactions — particularly important during busy, fast-moving wedding days where time with family and guests matters most.
Anchika & Gary kindly invited me to photograph their Hindu ceremony, and I was genuinely excited. Up until then, I’d photographed Hindu ceremonies at Manor By The Lake in the gardens — this time, it was going to be held indoors in the Maximilian Room. I knew straight away this was going to be something special.

A Final Word
Congratulations Anchika & Gary — what a superb day. 🥂
