A Cowley Manor Wedding – Jamie‑Lee & Nigel

Tucked into the Gloucestershire countryside, Cowley Manor is one of those venues that always feels like a treat to return to. The grounds are immaculate, the building is full of character, and the atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you arrive. It’s a place that works just as well for quiet moments as it does for celebration.

Jamie‑Lee & Nigel’s wedding made full use of that variety. The day felt relaxed and unhurried, with guests moving between the gardens and the house, settling into the space rather than being rushed from one moment to the next.

Cowley Manor’s blend of old and new plays a big part in that. The contemporary interiors keep things feeling fresh, while the historic surroundings add warmth and depth — a combination that photographs beautifully without needing much direction at all.

I began the day with Jamie‑Lee in the bridal suite as she finished getting ready. Those early moments — calm, focused and full of anticipation — are always some of my favourites to photograph. From there, the day unfolded naturally.
